Mission Inn Marina – Babies Breath Beauties

Mission Inn Marina – Babies Breath Beauties

We loved the elegance and simplicity of Stephanie and Brian’s wedding!  They held their special day at the Mission Inn Marina Del Rey.

We designed Stephanie’s lovely bridal bouquet with babies breath and blush & white gerber daisies.  We designed her maids’ bouquets with babies breath and white gerber daisies.  For their ceremony, we designed babies breath inside her hanging lantern jars with streaming ribbons.  For their reception, we scattered babies breath around candlelight centerpieces for half of their guest tables, and then placed babies breath lantern jars for the other half.

We hope you enjoy these photos just as much as we did!

Enchanted Forest

We had an amazing time being a part of Liana and Rob’s whimsical fairytale wedding at the Mission Inn Marina. Her beautiful bouquet was filled with white lilies and dripping with blue dendrobium orchids. The groom had a matching dendrobium orchid and white wax boutonnière. The maids’ bouquets were everything playful with light blue hydrangea, white roses, and white wax. We created an enchanting ceremony backdrop with our birch wood arch and hanging floral. The reception area was brought to life with our white lanterns and earthy moss design. It was such a pleasure bringing this enchanting tale to life.

Our Fabulous Watercolor Styled Shoot!

Our Fabulous Watercolor Styled Shoot!

Styled shoots are one of our favorite ways to showcase to clients the many different facets of design we can create!  It allows us to think big and outside the norm of what’s currently trending.  Sometimes a styled shoot is just a vision that came from a simple inspiration photo that we take and run with.

This past summer, we had the ultimate pleasure of being involved in a FABULOUS styled shoot that was designed and coordinated by Swanky I Do’s!  Watercolor was the theme for this styled shoot and it was one of our favorites by far!  The attention to detail and color combinations were absolutely flawless.

We used multiple shades of roses, stock, dendrobium orchids, and greens to create each of the phenomenal looks used throughout.  From the bouquets, to the arch floral, to the reception table and chair décor, it was such an honor to be involved in making this vision come to life.

Tanner Hall

Tanner Hall

In May we have had the honor of creating some beautiful floral using some bright colors. Floral garlands and lanterns were hung from A Chair Affair rented pergola. Two different sets of center pieces were used for a variety. Half were made of a lush floral piece with lanterns and orchids hung from manzanita branches. The other half was made of a combination of smaller centerpieces, short cubes filled with orange spray roses, tall cylinders with orchids and LED, and finished off with the bridesmaids bouquets once they sat down. I just want to share some of our photos. 20140706-221847-80327030.jpg

Heathrow Country Club

Heathrow Country Club

We work with the best vendors in town. When Toni from Heathrow Country Club asked us to participate in their VIP Bridal Show, it was an immediate yes! We wanted to showcase the 2014 current trends and that means purple and metals. We created three different tables at price points of low, medium and high.
We started with our floral inspiration, which was a design created by our lovely new intern Paige. She is getting married next year and was planning before she started with us. Her gorgeous floral choices were green cymbidium orchids and mini hydrangea, purple orchids, hydrangea and stock. We added purple hydrangea, green hypericum berry and green trick. I think she will incorporate those into her wedding in May 2015.
Then it was on to the rentals to complete the look. Linens, chairs, chargers, china flatware.
We asked Denise from Dogwood Blossom to create some menus to coordinate the look. She took it to the next level by designing a round menu that sat just inside the dinner plate.
The low end table was made up of house white linens, placemats to add color from Ikea, and mercury glass vase that we placed the repurposed bridesmaid bouquet into, and a log slice to elevate. Placing just a few flowers directly onto the log, gives a floral element until your bridesmaids are finished with pictures.
The medium priced table was adorned with a purple polyester linen, gold filigree chargers and mis-matched china. The centerpiece sat atop of a gorgeous purple vase.
The high end table was designed using the fabulous Purple Splendor linen, gold filigree chargers, mis-matched china, gold flatware, gold chivari chairs, high end tall vase with an over flowing centerpiece of orchids, stock, amaranthus, hydrangea, green trick and roses. Each place setting had an individual unique floral arrangement that the glitter cake ball was placed in as a favor, from Two Sweets Bake Shop.
Thank you to all my sponsored vendors for helping to make this happen. Please see the list with links below.

Mobella Events and Bluegrass Chic collaborated to create a beautiful wedding in royal blue, white with silver accents for her bride Paola. It came together exactly like we had planned.
Blue and white pomander balls hanging on the chairs for the ceremony. Those would later be added to each centerpiece at the reception. White hydrangea and blue orchids adorned the gazebo for her golf course wedding. Brides bouquet was made of one single blue rose, surrounded with two rows of white vendela roses, then a circle of blue roses. Absolutely unique and striking bouquet.
Onto the reception. We used tall cylinders, added 8′ silver painted curly willow, and filled the bottom of the vases with beautiful diamonds an crystals. Placed a blue LED light in the bottom for color and ambiance. Next we wired on white dendrodium orchids. After the ceremony, hung the pomander balls onto the branches as well.
Simple but striking centerpieces are another way to go without spending too much, yet with the right details, WOW are the words that will come out of your guests mouths. Enjoy!
