Orlando Science Center – Dangerously Romantic

Orlando Science Center – Dangerously Romantic

When a bride comes to us with an inspiration that includes succulents, rosemary, lavender and eucalyptus, they have our attention. With an inspiration photo of a bouquet, we created a stunning bouquet for her and her maids dressed in mint. They stood in front of a white arch with floral of lavender, white and greenery. The cake was topped with a bride and groom dinosaur, yes you heard that right! We dressed the cake with cascading floral, succulents and greens. This was a dangerously romantic wedding that we were thrilled to be part of!!

Some vendors might think working with a couple that lives across the pond is a difficult task, but we embrace it! This lovely couple came to us all the way from England and gave us a little over two months to get their vision from paper to wedding day. But here at Bluegrass Chic, we love a challenge!

We came up with a design plan based on the brides inspiration and gave it life with just one simple request from the groom: to use proteas from his native country, South Africa. Using the proteas, the brides bouquet was very unique with various textures and colors. The bridesmaids took a more classic look using creams, blush, and greens.

Peachtree house is a gorgeous property with a sea of ferns and rose bushes so it does not need much help to be event ready. For a few last minute touches we added a rustic floral piece to the arch, that had hanging amaranthus and greens and a spray of silver dollar eucalyptus on the guest book table that was a tribute to the couples many travels. The bride and groom’s unique style was on full display at this very romantic and  vintage wedding!

We were so honored to participate in yet another styled shoot with Bumby Photography!  This gorgeous setup took place at Up The Creek Farms in Valkaria, Florida.  We used a combination of yellow stock, blush tulips, pink statice, solidago, hypericum berries, and bupleurum to complete this soft but textured look.  We look forward to many more styled shoots with our “frendors!”

The Acre – Summer Fun

The Acre – Summer Fun

That moment when you meet a couple and you can see the love for one another, that is what I saw when I met Rebecca and Derek. We had participated in a photo shoot once before at The Acre, and fell in love. This fun, eclectic venue is just our style. Located just north of downtown, it is the perfect venue for someone wanting a vintage feel but while staying local.

Rebecca wanted to keep things simple with flowers. She wanted bright yellow and white flowers to compliment the navy and white dresses. When a bride mentions gerbera daisy, I know we are going to have a good time. Some flowers are just for fun loving brides!

What can we say about this beautiful wedding! Stunning…

Kat with Unicorn events and Medalys carefully planned every little detail of this wedding together. It was such a pleasure to work with them both. Medalys went with a color palette of coral, peach, mint and white. We worked together to create the floral and decor with a vintage vibe. The ceremony was on the beautiful golf course at Windermere Country Club. We setup our new doors with some wine crates, antique milk glass, Kat’s sewing table and some lanterns for accents. This paired with some floral at the top of the doors set the stage. Her aisle was marked with ribbons and lanterns to create the path for Happily Ever After!

The cocktail was set with vintage blue mason jars with one single (gorgeous) Coral Charm Peony, and a few votive candles.

Reception consisted of several different designs to keep with the vintage feel. Wine crates, mini mason jars, lace, burlap, mercury and milk glass adorned the tables in various configurations. The floral consisted of succulents, seeded eucalyptus, peach spray roses, Queens Ann lace, babies breath, and Amsterdam standard roses. It was a event worth blogging!!! Enjoy.

Sometimes you have the most wonderful clients that you just don’t want their wedding to be over as much as them. This beautiful woman was one of those clients. Her vision of a brunch wedding with bird cages, antique doors, chalk boards and lace makes us smile. Then to see the stunning photos from Live Happy Studio of the butterfly release, where they land on her bouquet gives me the impression that nature approves of our work.

Private Estate Wedding

Private Estate Wedding

Sometimes the most simple of weddings can be the most magical. I have had the pleasure to work with Melissa in the past on a photo shoot. She is a beautiful woman with an artist eye for the lens. When she asked me to create her bouquet for her intimate wedding, I was honored. Having other vendors value your work when they see different vendors every week is probably one of the best reviews I could ask for. I hope you enjoy Melissa’s wedding as much as I did. Don’t forget to check out her boots, another “Bluegrass Bride”. Photography by Tara Libby Photography and Melissa Enid Photography
