Orlando Science Center – Dangerously Romantic

When a bride comes to us with an inspiration that includes succulents, rosemary, lavender and eucalyptus, they have our attention. With an inspiration photo of a bouquet, we created a stunning bouquet for her and her maids dressed in mint. They stood in front of a white arch with floral of lavender, white and greenery. The cake was topped with a bride and groom dinosaur, yes you heard that right! We dressed the cake with cascading floral, succulents and greens. This was a dangerously romantic wedding that we were thrilled to be part of!!

Quantum Leap Winery- Rustic Charm

Going back to our roots: we love doing southern style weddings! For the brides bouquet we used dusty miller, blush garden roses, queens anne lace, succulents, brunia, and eucalyptus. For a nice cohesive look, we used the same floral for the bridesmaids but created a more textured and messy look. The bouquets looked perfect with the soft pink bridesmaids dresses.

The rustic centerpieces also flowed in sync with the venue. Quantum Leap is one of our favorite venues and it’s not only because of their delicious wine! The winery is the epitome of rustic charm and the soft pinks and textures created a fun atmosphere for this southern wedding.

Winter Park Farmers Market – Southern Classic

Winter Park Farmers Market is a popular venue here in Orlando, and we love when our brides make it unique! Patrick and Laura chose a rustic and vintage design for their wedding. Everything from the babies breath that lined their aisle to the stacked vintage books on their ceremony tables was as unique as Patrick and Laura.

For the brides bouquet we used only the best flowers! From the gorgeous Juliet garden roses, the amazing blush clooney ranunculus, to the pop of blue from the thistle that finished it perfectly. Her bouquet is certainly one for the books! The sequined gold bridesmaids dresses and quirky groomsmen suits were a stylish finishing touch for this fun wedding.

Peachtree House- Vintage Elegance

Some vendors might think working with a couple that lives across the pond is a difficult task, but we embrace it! This lovely couple came to us all the way from England and gave us a little over two months to get their vision from paper to wedding day. But here at Bluegrass Chic, we love a challenge!

We came up with a design plan based on the brides inspiration and gave it life with just one simple request from the groom: to use proteas from his native country, South Africa. Using the proteas, the brides bouquet was very unique with various textures and colors. The bridesmaids took a more classic look using creams, blush, and greens.

Peachtree house is a gorgeous property with a sea of ferns and rose bushes so it does not need much help to be event ready. For a few last minute touches we added a rustic floral piece to the arch, that had hanging amaranthus and greens and a spray of silver dollar eucalyptus on the guest book table that was a tribute to the couples many travels. The bride and groom’s unique style was on full display at this very romantic and  vintage wedding!

Mission Inn-Turquoise Romance

When you can feel the love between your bride and groom, it truly makes our job easy! For this gorgeous turquoise wedding, the groom made sure every single detail was done correctly. He was very meticulous, because his bride was finishing up school and he took the reins on the wedding so she didn’t have to worry about a thing. To start, we created the wonderfully fragrant brides bouquet with o’hara garden roses, freesia, and ranunculus and to add texture we added brunia and seeded eucalyptus. We carried that flower selection through to her brides maids bouquets and on our birch wood arch design.

The reception was glowing from wall to wall! For the centerpieces, we filled tall cylinders with twinkle lights so when the lights we dim the room would sparkle. The floral arrangements on top were created with white hydrangea, freesia, and blush roses. We covered the fireplace with candles and lights. However, the room wouldn’t have looked the same without those gorgeous turquoise linens from Over the top!

Swan and Dolphin-Vibrant Romance

It was our pleasure to work with this fabulous fun loving couple on their beautiful wedding at the Swan and Dolphin. Tiffany and Randall had the most unique idea’s to create a fun atmosphere their guests would not soon forget. We simply adored their colors of purple, fuchsia and plum. Tiffany had a gorgeous brooch bouquet and the bridesmaids had colorful flower crowns in place of a bouquet. How fun is that?! Each flower crown was accented with a different color from the wedding floral to give it a unique and personal flair.  The groomsmen boutonnieres where made from gorgeous orchids that gave a great pop of color. Their centerpieces had gold bud vases filed with floral of the same color pallet and a lantern to create a fun feel. The head table had a gorgeous garland on it. Last, but not least, the naked cake was filled with beautiful pops of ranunculus for an elegant charm. It was so fun working with this happy couple, can’t wait to work at the Sawn and Dolphin again.

We were just tickled to work with one of our favorite Tickled Pink ladies, Michelle Moyer, on her most special day. Cypress Grove created a beautiful backdrop for her gorgeous wedding. We had fun using some of Bluegrass Chic favorite flowers such as the panda anemone, sweet fragrant Juliet garden rose, berries, and succulents of course! This whimsical bouquet was filled with many of the ivory and peachy/blush elements to create a timeless image. The reception and tables where some of our favorite. There where a mixture of wood slices, garland, and bud vases that gave a very chic and romantic feel. What an an amazing day with an fantastic team!

Autumn Wedding Photoshoot

Here at Bluegrass Chic, we jump at the chance to use Autumn colors and when we got the call to do the floral for this bohemian, natural photo shoot all we could say was yes, yes, yes, yes!

Taking inspiration from nature and all its lovely colors during this time, we chose rich flowers of deep burgundy, purple, and amber. Each floral piece had a mixture of greens and textures to really give you the feel that you picked the arrangements up from a meadow! Starting with proteas and ivory roses for the bridal bouquet, we incorporated the autumn colors using chrysanthemums, snapdragons, hypericum berries, and silver dollar eucalyptus.

This photo shoot was such a pleasure to work on, but we have to acknowledge how beautiful this couple is! And not only did the bride want her bouquet, but we also made her a gorgeous flower crown of amber and burgundy mums that went perfectly with the grooms boutonniere. Everything came together “perfectly, unperfect” from the natural cascade of burgundy on the 3 tiered cake to the rustic bohemian bud vases for their centerpieces.

If theses photos don’t get you in the mood for autumn than nothing will! -Enjoy

Highland Manor – Rustic Fairytale

This March we had the pleasure of kicking off the Spring season with a beautiful couple at Highland Manor. The manor’s air of antique timelessness coupled with the grounds’ lush fields and greenery created the perfect backdrop for this rustic wedding.

The ceremony was a wonderful flurry of color and texture. The bride’s walk down the aisle was met with a vivacious arrangement of hot pink hydrangea, bubblegum spray roses, bright blue delphinium, purple stock, topped off with mini sunflowers set atop Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrels, all repurposed for the reception, creating the kind of accent that gave this wedding it’s truly unique flair! The aisles were further lined with hanging mason jars over flowering with matching florals and accents of greens for a natural pop. The altar flowers, however, were the true focal piece. Hot pink hydrangea, bright blue delphinium, purple stock and bubble gum spray roses were repeated and accented with green ivy and ruscus trailing along the top and side of the birchwood alter, creating a truly dream-like background for the couples ‘I-do’s’.

The bridesmaids wore navy knee-length dresses to show off their style in cowboy boots, perfectly accented by wildflowers bouquets of ruscus, mini sunflowers, pink snapdragons, bright blue delphinium, queens ann and hot pink spray roses. The groomsmen and groom all wore varying complimentary bouts! The bride herself was stunning in a strapless ivory ball gown and cascading wildflower bouquet filled with all the lush floral of the ceremony enhanced with bright pink peonies, dark purple lisianthus, italian ruscus, thistle and pink garden roses for an arrangment that truly stole the show.

This rustic wildflower wedding was truly a dream to put together and a feast for the eyes! We are overjoyed with the outcome and are reminded that “once in awhile right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairytale!”
