Elegant Brunch – Ladies of Light

When the best photographers in town get together for a brunch, they do it right! They hire the amazing Southern Traditions and Two Sweets Bake Shop to cater the event, and ask us to provide florals. The stationary was by the designed by Dogwood Blossom Stationary. China, chairs, tables, and stemware all by A Chair Affair. The entire event was brought together by Blush. Bumby hosted this elegant brunch in the backyard of their private office. It was an honor to be able to be a small part of this collaborative group of ladies, Ladies of Light. It looked delicious!

Peachtree House -Rustic Elegance

When people ask us what our specialty is, we say Rustic Elegance. Sometimes that is hard to understand as those words usually don’t go together. Although this wedding will help everyone understand how elegant, rustic can be.

We set the stage at the beautiful Peachtree House in College Park. The bride and groom choose the fabulous Chris Glenn to capture the entire event. The details from this wedding surpass almost any other we have done before, styled by Mobella Events. From the floating floral monogram, ceremony cross, driftwood centerpieces, gold candelabras, Spanish moss and orchid aisle, to the Star Wars guests. Yes, you heard me right… Star Wars Darth Vader and a couple of Storm Troupers to entertain the guests. This wedding is one for the books for sure!

Mission Inn Marina – Babies Breath Beauties

We loved the elegance and simplicity of Stephanie and Brian’s wedding!  They held their special day at the Mission Inn Marina Del Rey.

We designed Stephanie’s lovely bridal bouquet with babies breath and blush & white gerber daisies.  We designed her maids’ bouquets with babies breath and white gerber daisies.  For their ceremony, we designed babies breath inside her hanging lantern jars with streaming ribbons.  For their reception, we scattered babies breath around candlelight centerpieces for half of their guest tables, and then placed babies breath lantern jars for the other half.

We hope you enjoy these photos just as much as we did!

Trinity Lutheran & Dubsdread Golf Course-Classic & Romantic Wedding

Everything about this wedding came together beautifully. The lovely couple had their ceremony in the Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Orlando. The bride walked down the aisle with a classic white and greens bouquet made with white tibet roses, stock, ranunculus, football mums, majolika spray roses, and silver dollar eucalyptus. The groom, waited for his bride while wearing a boutonniere made of white majolika spray roses, ruscus, and eucalyptus.

The reception was held at the charming, Dubsdread Golf Course with accents of gold, white, greens, and romantic twinkling lights and candles. The head table was set with a garland made of ruscus, eucalyptus, white tibet roses, white hydrangea, babies breath, and white majolika spray roses. For the guest tables we used white hydrangea, white tibet roses, white majolika spray roses, stock, babies breath, silver dollar eucalyptus, and ruscus in gold wooden footed bowls. The finishing touch were the ‘bride and groom’ chair ties!

Good Counsel Camp – Rustic Outdoor Wedding

We wanted to write about the floral, but then we contacted the bride to get the story of her wedding told in her words. From our Bride, Kayla.

My husband, Stephen, and I met when we were 14 years old at a little outdoor summer camp in Floral City, Florida called Good Counsel Camp (GCC). We met as campers and our love for that place and each other grew as we continued to go summer after summer. When we were too old to be campers, we became staff and worked as counselors until we graduated from college.

After 8 years of dating and a big move from Florida to New York City, Stephen proposed at Central Park on 12/13/14. We both knew right away where we wanted to get married. GCC was our favorite place in the world and we couldn’t imagine a “best day ever” without that place.

Unfortunately, earlier that year, a fire burned down the center of and the biggest structure on GCC’s property- the Mess Hall. Without even a foundation of a new Mess Hall (aka the reception location), we agreed that we would get married there the next year. Through the generosity of other alumni and supporters who loved the camp as much as we did, it was rebuilt by the following summer… this time with AC and bathrooms (imagine a wedding without that!).

For our wedding, multiple friends, family members and vendors helped transform our little camp (not typically a venue) into an even more breathtaking place. There is nothing that will ever compare to walking down the “aisle” into the GCC chapel, a walk I had taken daily in summers past- this time ending with all my loved ones from different parts of my life under one roof. Stephen and I enjoyed every second of our ceremony and reception and feel so grateful to GCC for bringing us together.

Summer Wedding Expos-2016

The Bluegrass Chic ladies have been hard at work to meet the new brides of summer 2016! The first wedding expo we did this summer was the PWG wedding expo at The Hilton Orlando on May 1st. We chose to do a beach theme for our booth. For our tablescape we used large pieces of drift wood and covered it with floral! We used white hydrangea, white football mums, white tibet roses, white stock, and dusty miller. We furthered our look with starfish, seashells, sea glass, and candles. We were also chosen to provide a beautiful array of bridal bouquets for PWG’s runway show and floral for their VIP room. For the VIP room, we played with an Earth and fire theme creating our look with all kinds of greens and red, yellow, and orange floral and textures.

On August 21st, at the Wedding Expo also at The Hilton Orlando, our team created a rustic and romantic french market experience. Our large wood doors were a show stopper as new couples walked the expo. To further this look, we used wine crates, rustic lanterns, a birdcage, and some of our gorgeous rental signs on one side of our booth. On the other side we had three tiers of flower buckets for our brides to take home with them! The flowers did not stop there, we created a bridal bouquet, halo, and chair sashes of beautiful red freedom roses, white tibet roses, ester roses, brown agnus, red ranunculus, and lots of greens. For our tablescape, we designed a garland for the center of the table with a romantic centerpiece surrounded by twinkly candles.

Thank you PWG and The Wedding Expo for allowing us to meet the new brides of 2016!

Fox Lake Park – Outdoor Rustic Wedding

This sweet couple hired Tickled Pink Brides to pull their look together. We met with them due to the crazy schedules of the bride and groom. We were asked to create a rustic but elegant design for the ceremony. They wanted our birch wood chuppah as a backdrop in front of the stunning lake that the groom grew up playing in. Our rental doors served as an entry way for the bride to walk through and continue down her aisle. Our white doors were set with a collection of crates, wine boxes bud vases and floral. The top of the doors were topped with a rich greenery spray with white floral.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of blue hydrangea, lavender roses, purple lisianthus and seeded eucalyptus. The groom wore a gray suit with a boutonniere of lavender rose and seeded eucalyptus.

The reception was set with white wash boxes holding blue hydrangea, lavender roses, purple stock, white mums and greenery. Each table had silver mercury votives for a little bit of sparkle to the rustic theme. The sweetheart table had a Mr and Mrs sign, centerpiece and votives. But after the ceremony, we repurposed the ceremony floral and garland to make this table spectacular! I can’t help but mention the transformation that Swag Decor made to this rustic space with all the beautiful draping.

Windermere – Private Estate Wedding

Working on this design was a dream come true. The family trusted us to create this romantic, garden feel at their private home in Windermere. A year in advance we started this design, visited the estate, coordinated with tent and planners, ordering supplies, drape and additional vases to complete the look. Every minute was worth it to get the finished design.

The couple was married under the tree that was planted the year the Bride was born. With the maids wearing blush, carrying green and white bouquets of garden roses, Queens Ann lace, eucalyptus and stock. The bride carried a mixed hand-tied bouquet of Juliet garden roses, ranunculus, stock, Queens Ann lace, eucalyptus and spray roses. Their ceremony was complete and they were rushed away to steal a few minutes alone on the property. One captured on the dock during sunset!

The tables were a mix of round and family style. Each was dressed with multiple vessels of hydrangea, Juliet garden roses, dusty miller, stock, spray roses and eucalyptus. Globes were hung from the center of the tent and above the head table with floral and tea lights. The night wasn’t complete without the first dance, which the bride’s mother couldn’t wait to share with me the next morning, it was EPIC! At the end of the evening, the family surprised the guests with a spectacular fireworks display.

Thank you for allowing us to share your wedding. It was one of our favorites by far.
