Good Counsel Camp – Rustic Outdoor Wedding

We wanted to write about the floral, but then we contacted the bride to get the story of her wedding told in her words. From our Bride, Kayla.

My husband, Stephen, and I met when we were 14 years old at a little outdoor summer camp in Floral City, Florida called Good Counsel Camp (GCC). We met as campers and our love for that place and each other grew as we continued to go summer after summer. When we were too old to be campers, we became staff and worked as counselors until we graduated from college.

After 8 years of dating and a big move from Florida to New York City, Stephen proposed at Central Park on 12/13/14. We both knew right away where we wanted to get married. GCC was our favorite place in the world and we couldn’t imagine a “best day ever” without that place.

Unfortunately, earlier that year, a fire burned down the center of and the biggest structure on GCC’s property- the Mess Hall. Without even a foundation of a new Mess Hall (aka the reception location), we agreed that we would get married there the next year. Through the generosity of other alumni and supporters who loved the camp as much as we did, it was rebuilt by the following summer… this time with AC and bathrooms (imagine a wedding without that!).

For our wedding, multiple friends, family members and vendors helped transform our little camp (not typically a venue) into an even more breathtaking place. There is nothing that will ever compare to walking down the “aisle” into the GCC chapel, a walk I had taken daily in summers past- this time ending with all my loved ones from different parts of my life under one roof. Stephen and I enjoyed every second of our ceremony and reception and feel so grateful to GCC for bringing us together.

Summer Wedding Expos-2016

The Bluegrass Chic ladies have been hard at work to meet the new brides of summer 2016! The first wedding expo we did this summer was the PWG wedding expo at The Hilton Orlando on May 1st. We chose to do a beach theme for our booth. For our tablescape we used large pieces of drift wood and covered it with floral! We used white hydrangea, white football mums, white tibet roses, white stock, and dusty miller. We furthered our look with starfish, seashells, sea glass, and candles. We were also chosen to provide a beautiful array of bridal bouquets for PWG’s runway show and floral for their VIP room. For the VIP room, we played with an Earth and fire theme creating our look with all kinds of greens and red, yellow, and orange floral and textures.

On August 21st, at the Wedding Expo also at The Hilton Orlando, our team created a rustic and romantic french market experience. Our large wood doors were a show stopper as new couples walked the expo. To further this look, we used wine crates, rustic lanterns, a birdcage, and some of our gorgeous rental signs on one side of our booth. On the other side we had three tiers of flower buckets for our brides to take home with them! The flowers did not stop there, we created a bridal bouquet, halo, and chair sashes of beautiful red freedom roses, white tibet roses, ester roses, brown agnus, red ranunculus, and lots of greens. For our tablescape, we designed a garland for the center of the table with a romantic centerpiece surrounded by twinkly candles.

Thank you PWG and The Wedding Expo for allowing us to meet the new brides of 2016!

Fox Lake Park – Outdoor Rustic Wedding

This sweet couple hired Tickled Pink Brides to pull their look together. We met with them due to the crazy schedules of the bride and groom. We were asked to create a rustic but elegant design for the ceremony. They wanted our birch wood chuppah as a backdrop in front of the stunning lake that the groom grew up playing in. Our rental doors served as an entry way for the bride to walk through and continue down her aisle. Our white doors were set with a collection of crates, wine boxes bud vases and floral. The top of the doors were topped with a rich greenery spray with white floral.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of blue hydrangea, lavender roses, purple lisianthus and seeded eucalyptus. The groom wore a gray suit with a boutonniere of lavender rose and seeded eucalyptus.

The reception was set with white wash boxes holding blue hydrangea, lavender roses, purple stock, white mums and greenery. Each table had silver mercury votives for a little bit of sparkle to the rustic theme. The sweetheart table had a Mr and Mrs sign, centerpiece and votives. But after the ceremony, we repurposed the ceremony floral and garland to make this table spectacular! I can’t help but mention the transformation that Swag Decor made to this rustic space with all the beautiful draping.

Windermere – Private Estate Wedding

Working on this design was a dream come true. The family trusted us to create this romantic, garden feel at their private home in Windermere. A year in advance we started this design, visited the estate, coordinated with tent and planners, ordering supplies, drape and additional vases to complete the look. Every minute was worth it to get the finished design.

The couple was married under the tree that was planted the year the Bride was born. With the maids wearing blush, carrying green and white bouquets of garden roses, Queens Ann lace, eucalyptus and stock. The bride carried a mixed hand-tied bouquet of Juliet garden roses, ranunculus, stock, Queens Ann lace, eucalyptus and spray roses. Their ceremony was complete and they were rushed away to steal a few minutes alone on the property. One captured on the dock during sunset!

The tables were a mix of round and family style. Each was dressed with multiple vessels of hydrangea, Juliet garden roses, dusty miller, stock, spray roses and eucalyptus. Globes were hung from the center of the tent and above the head table with floral and tea lights. The night wasn’t complete without the first dance, which the bride’s mother couldn’t wait to share with me the next morning, it was EPIC! At the end of the evening, the family surprised the guests with a spectacular fireworks display.

Thank you for allowing us to share your wedding. It was one of our favorites by far.

Highland Manor – Sunny and Simply Elegant

Highland Manor allows the perfect backdrop to almost any style of wedding. This one was no different. The maids wore a flowing coral dress and the bride was wearing a stunning lace gown with a sweetheart neckline. They colors of this wedding were my favorite. Summer was upon us, and this bride knew how to make her wedding pop! Coral charm peonies, Sunset garden roses, billy balls, yellow spray roses and greenery made the perfect bridal bouquet. The girls carried a complementary bouquet of yellow spray roses, green hydrangea and green hypericum berries.

The chapel was kept simple with small bud vases in the windows and mason jars of similar floral hung from the chairs. The reception was set with log slices, lanterns, mason jars, bud vases and a little bling from gold mercury votives. The amazing cake was designed by the fabulous Alejandra with Everything Cake.

In a World Full of Wildflowers…

Wow!  We are so excited to share these fantastic photos from Samantha and Thor’s wedding day with you!  Samantha and Thor’s vision for their special day was rustic and wildflower-esque.  They celebrated their nuptials at the FFA Leadership Training Center in Haines City, Florida.

We created whimsical bouquets for her Maids filled with greenery, white wax flowers, white monte casino, and blue delphinium.  For Samantha’s bridal bouquet however, we designed more of a romantic look complete with white monte casino, white scabiosa, babies breath, white wax flowers, white spray roses, blue delphinium, and greenery.  For their ceremony, we designed hanging floral pieces for her rustic barn door entrance filled with white monte casino, white wax flowers, babies breath, and greenery.  These doors made for the perfect touch to this rustic ceremony!  For the aisle, we designed babies breath arrangements inside blue-laced mason jars that sat on top of tree stumps that Thor cut down himself!

We just love the attention to detail that Samantha and Thor had for their wedding day!  What a beautiful wedding this was!  We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we did!

For their ceremony, we laid white roses with streaming ribbons on their memory table for loved ones.

For their reception, we designed stunning arrangements inside their gold and burlap/lace wrapped mason jars.  We used a combination of white hydrangea, coral roses, blush alstroemeria, white wax, and white stock.

A Lovely Citrus Themed Wedding

We are so excited to share these photos with you!  This  wedding is definitely one of our favorites so far.

Our bride, Neely, wanted a citrus feel to her bouquets.  We created stunning bouquets for her and her Maid’s filled with Orange Ranunculus, Peach Garden Roses, Peach Hypericum Berry, Ivory Standard Roses, and Seeded Eucalyptus.  The color palette was amazing and the shades popped perfectly against their dresses.

For their ceremony décor, we created greenery chair ties filled with a variety of Eucalyptus stems and tied them to every other pew in the church.

For their reception décor, we designed gorgeous citrus themed centerpieces inside of orange crates filled with White Hydrangea, Orange Ranunculus, and Seeded Eucalyptus.

We absolutely loved the look and feel of this wedding and hope you enjoy these photos as much as we did!

Mission Inn – Tropical Wedding

We can’t wait to share these photos with you all!  Last month, we had the ultimate pleasure of providing floral for Stacey’s stunning wedding out at Mission Inn Resort.

The floral combinations in this wedding were just amazing.  For our lovely bride, Stacey, we created a bridal bouquet filled with Stargazer Lilies, Blue Delphinium, and White Hydrangea.  We created a boutonniere with a Calla Lily and a little Blue Delphinium pop.  For their reception centerpieces, we used our clear glass cylinders and submerged blush tulips inside.  For our cake floral, we stacked layers of blush Garden Roses and Spray Roses within the tiers.

Stacey has now become one of our regular customers for all her flower needs (Mother’s Day and graduation). We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we did!
