Swan and Dolphin-Vibrant Romance

It was our pleasure to work with this fabulous fun loving couple on their beautiful wedding at the Swan and Dolphin. Tiffany and Randall had the most unique idea’s to create a fun atmosphere their guests would not soon forget. We simply adored their colors of purple, fuchsia and plum. Tiffany had a gorgeous brooch bouquet and the bridesmaids had colorful flower crowns in place of a bouquet. How fun is that?! Each flower crown was accented with a different color from the wedding floral to give it a unique and personal flair.  The groomsmen boutonnieres where made from gorgeous orchids that gave a great pop of color. Their centerpieces had gold bud vases filed with floral of the same color pallet and a lantern to create a fun feel. The head table had a gorgeous garland on it. Last, but not least, the naked cake was filled with beautiful pops of ranunculus for an elegant charm. It was so fun working with this happy couple, can’t wait to work at the Sawn and Dolphin again.

Leu Gardens – Irish Wedding

We really enjoyed designing this romantic, almost all green wedding with a touch of white and thistles. This stunning bride with the most gorgeous red hair wore a romantic lace gown with a stunning shawl draped over her arms as she walked down the aisle. Her maids wore a soft teal and a gray shawl draped with green and white bouquets. The bride carried a soft cascading bouquet with queens ann lace, brunia, thistles, green hydrangea, garden roses and amaranthus. The ceremony was moved inside for weather, but we moved their birchwood ceremony arch inside with corner floral of white hydrangea, ivy, thistle and amaranthus. The couple had a bagpiper in honor of their heritage to start and end the ceremony.

Mission Inn – Networking Lunch

We were honored when asked to design floral arrangements for a recent networking lunch at one of our favorite venues, Mission Inn. We were able to set the mood for the social affair with fun and unique tropical designs using simple arrangements of hydrangea and greens in golden caraway vases. Golden pineapples and ivy draped on the chandeliers brightened up the room and added a brilliant final touch to bring the tropical feel together!

Lake Nona Country Club – Cobalt Blue

Floral arrangements can truly be a reflection of a brides style and personality. Every once in a while, they’ll provide us with their own vases to truly emphasize their unique vision. These Cobalt Blue assorted vases breathe new life to the classic idea of all white floral arrangements. Beautiful all on their own, adorning each with varying bundles of stock, hydrangea and Tulips brought smiles to our faces! Set against the sleek and classic backdrop of Lake Nona Country Club, the white arrangements  with subtle hints and accents of blue where the perfect design for this elegant wedding.

Ethereal Wedding at Paradise Cove~ Chelsea & Drew

We were absolutely honored when asked to work with a beautiful and talented bride in the industry. Chelsea works as a designer for the Chalk Shop in Orlando. The Chalk Shop does the most beautiful and unique chalk art that will create an unforgettable element for the guests. Chelsea’s and Drew’s wedding proves this point!

We loved creating an etherial atmosphere with David Austin garden roses, white tibet roses and an abundance of greenery. The whimsical arch decor along with the bridesmaid bouquets made entirely with greens really made the wedding one of a kind. This a a personalized wedding for the books! We had so much fun working with some of our favorite vendors and are looking forward to work with them again soon!

Cypress Grove~Chic and Classic

We were just tickled to work with one of our favorite Tickled Pink ladies, Michelle Moyer, on her most special day. Cypress Grove created a beautiful backdrop for her gorgeous wedding. We had fun using some of Bluegrass Chic favorite flowers such as the panda anemone, sweet fragrant Juliet garden rose, berries, and succulents of course! This whimsical bouquet was filled with many of the ivory and peachy/blush elements to create a timeless image. The reception and tables where some of our favorite. There where a mixture of wood slices, garland, and bud vases that gave a very chic and romantic feel. What an an amazing day with an fantastic team!

Calvet Couture Bridal Photoshoot

This has to be one of our favorite photo shoots! Not only do we love all of the gorgeous wedding gowns, but we love the shots Tabitha from Tab McCausland Photography got of our bouquet. We could not be more thrilled that Calvet Couture asked us to provide floral for their photo shoot at Winter Park Village.

We had fun with the bouquet, and choose a variety of greens and white floral. Fox tails, leather leaf, and tree ferns create a natural and earthy look, with white dahlias, blushing bride, wax flower, queens anne lace, and white tibet roses bringing out a rustic elegance.

We love how this shoot turned out and hope we get to work with Calvet Couture again soon!

Autumn Wedding Photoshoot

Here at Bluegrass Chic, we jump at the chance to use Autumn colors and when we got the call to do the floral for this bohemian, natural photo shoot all we could say was yes, yes, yes, yes!

Taking inspiration from nature and all its lovely colors during this time, we chose rich flowers of deep burgundy, purple, and amber. Each floral piece had a mixture of greens and textures to really give you the feel that you picked the arrangements up from a meadow! Starting with proteas and ivory roses for the bridal bouquet, we incorporated the autumn colors using chrysanthemums, snapdragons, hypericum berries, and silver dollar eucalyptus.

This photo shoot was such a pleasure to work on, but we have to acknowledge how beautiful this couple is! And not only did the bride want her bouquet, but we also made her a gorgeous flower crown of amber and burgundy mums that went perfectly with the grooms boutonniere. Everything came together “perfectly, unperfect” from the natural cascade of burgundy on the 3 tiered cake to the rustic bohemian bud vases for their centerpieces.

If theses photos don’t get you in the mood for autumn than nothing will! -Enjoy

Highland Manor – Rustic Fairytale

This March we had the pleasure of kicking off the Spring season with a beautiful couple at Highland Manor. The manor’s air of antique timelessness coupled with the grounds’ lush fields and greenery created the perfect backdrop for this rustic wedding.

The ceremony was a wonderful flurry of color and texture. The bride’s walk down the aisle was met with a vivacious arrangement of hot pink hydrangea, bubblegum spray roses, bright blue delphinium, purple stock, topped off with mini sunflowers set atop Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrels, all repurposed for the reception, creating the kind of accent that gave this wedding it’s truly unique flair! The aisles were further lined with hanging mason jars over flowering with matching florals and accents of greens for a natural pop. The altar flowers, however, were the true focal piece. Hot pink hydrangea, bright blue delphinium, purple stock and bubble gum spray roses were repeated and accented with green ivy and ruscus trailing along the top and side of the birchwood alter, creating a truly dream-like background for the couples ‘I-do’s’.

The bridesmaids wore navy knee-length dresses to show off their style in cowboy boots, perfectly accented by wildflowers bouquets of ruscus, mini sunflowers, pink snapdragons, bright blue delphinium, queens ann and hot pink spray roses. The groomsmen and groom all wore varying complimentary bouts! The bride herself was stunning in a strapless ivory ball gown and cascading wildflower bouquet filled with all the lush floral of the ceremony enhanced with bright pink peonies, dark purple lisianthus, italian ruscus, thistle and pink garden roses for an arrangment that truly stole the show.

This rustic wildflower wedding was truly a dream to put together and a feast for the eyes! We are overjoyed with the outcome and are reminded that “once in awhile right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairytale!”
