Bluegrass Chic's Guide to Bouquets

Okay, so it’s time to have your floral consult and you have no idea what type of flowers you want; let alone what style of bouquet! We are here to help guide you through the process and design of bouquets. To some, most bouquets may look similar, but when it comes to your day, every detail matters. We tailor our bouquets to each of our brides. We can bring your favorite colors, flowers, and even personality into it. We go over every detail with you-down to the ribbon color that wraps the handles! Below, we provided some photos of our work with each style of bouquet!

Cascading Bouquet

Perhaps a cascading bouquet is more your style. Cascading bouquets are also known as waterfall or teardrop bouquets. This look is one of the more dramatic. We achieve this look often with orchids or greens that spill over to form that teardrop shape. There’s a reason so many brides love this bouquet-just look at it!

Posie Bouquet

A posie bouquet is often used for bridesmaid bouquets. This look is a small hand tied with a round shape. Almost any flower can go in these- they are easy to hold and lightweight. We find our brides that want this look are having small, intimate, weddings.

Natural, Garden bouquet

For our free spirit brides- this one’s for you. Think loose bouquet with lots of greens! Natural and garden bouquets will have an asymmetrical shape with light and airy greens. We have even done all greenery bouquets for this look!

Hand-Tied Bouquet

Similar to the posie and natural garden bouquet, the hand-tied is one of our most popular looks. This style can range in size, shape, and feel. Stems are usually exposed and any flowers and greenery are perfect for this bouquet.

Round Bouquet

This style of bouquet is very tight and has a circle shape to it. Round bouquets will have more floral than greenery or filler. Round bouquets often use roses to get the shape and they keep the structure. Traditional brides and formal weddings use this style of bouquet the most.

Long Stem Bouquet

Long stem bouquets are growing in popularity. They are minimalistic and they do not overpower your dress. These bouquets are modern yet timeless and we are seeing them more and more. Big, beautiful roses are used in these to get the look. Little greens are included in these.
