Bluegrass Chic Answers your Floral Budget Questions

It can be a bit intimidating to go into a floral consultation without knowing costs or what you want. It doesn’t have to be, we are here to help!

Q. The first questions we always get is “How much is your average wedding?”

A. The average spend for flowers and decor at Bluegrass Chic for 100 guests is $4,000.

Q. What does this include?

A. This includes personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages), arch floral, centerpieces. and candles for tables (yes we have those too!) This number fluctuates depending greatly on the type of floral you choose and how much texture you want in your arrangements.

Q. Why are you different from other florist?

A. We don’t just provide centerpieces and bouquets. We provide an experience for your guests, full design, setup and breakdown. We want you to have as much involvement as you want from picking out linens to what types of candles go on the tables. Or, let us talk through the design and let us go to work for you!

Q. Do we have ceremony arches, crosses, columns and more?

A. Yes, we have a variety of different setups for your ceremony backdrop and entry. From black iron, white wood to mahogany wood. Drape in several colors to soften the structure. Please use the search term “arch”, “cross”, “drape” to see some of our past work with these structures and items.

Let us make it easy for you!

Again, this is just an average number, as we’ve done everything-just a bride’s bouquet to a 3 day wedding celebration. We are a full service company, meaning we design, set up and break down for you. We want to make this as easy for you on the day of as possible.

Some Tips to Maximize your Floral Budget:

1) Prioritize what in your wedding flowers means the most to you.

A gardenia is your favorite flower? Prioritize that! The bride wants a lush bouquet? Prioritize that. You want a full flowered arch? Yes, you guessed it-prioritize that. An average bridal bouquet at Bluegrass Chic runs just over $200. Remember that when planning!

2) Repurpose bouquets!

If your budget doesn’t allow for you to create lush centerpieces, we recommend repurposing the bridesmaid bouquets. Those bouquets are already made-why waste them? We can drop them in an opaque vase in the middle of the table and you have yourself a centerpiece! Some couple’s choose to really dress up their head table with all the bouquets as well.

3) If you’re going to “go big” on something- we recommend your bridal bouquet and your arch floral.

Your bouquet is in almost all of your photos. The arch is heavily photographed and this is usually the photo our couple prints out and puts on their wall forever!

4) Just because garlands have no floral, doesn’t mean they are cheaper.

Garlands take numerous hours of labor and a lot of product. So, they add up quickly. Instead of doing a full floral garland, we recommend doing a 5 foot garland for an 8 foot table. You still get the look you want AND it’s still beautiful.

5) Work rentals into your budget.

This is always an option with us. We provide other items such as candles, arches, lanterns, vases, stands, table numbers, etc. Instead of paying the delivery fees for multiple rental companies, do you research and see what your preferred vendors have. This could save so much money.
