Venue: Make or Break Decision

A modern look starts by choosing the right venue; a venue that has a modern look and feel. Without this, creating a modern look will be difficult and may not be attained. Our couple chose the Dr. Phillips Center in the heart of Downtown Orlando for their big day. The ceremony took place on the gorgeous rooftop terrace of the Dr. Phillips Center, overlooking the gorgeous cityscape of downtown. The reception look place in the stunning modern ballroom, the De Los Family Room. With a light industrial feel, vaulted ceilings, and floor to ceiling windows - this reception space is absolutely perfect for a modern look. These spaces helped the modern theme surround the guests throughout every step of the wedding day!

Colors: Setting the Vibe

The next step in creating a modern look is choosing the right color palette. Bold color choices help make a modern look pop. Most popular right now is a color palette of All White or Black & White. Our couple, Jordan and Graham, chose black and white for the modern look of their wedding day. To bring in the modern look, there were black accents from the Bridesmaids Dresses, Harlow Stands, Taper Candles, Table Numbers, Napkins, Chairs, Signage, Dance floor, and more!

Flowers: Bringing Everything Together

Our couple wanted their floral to be modern, but still classic. The floral at both ceremony and reception was lush, manicured, and classic. It is a difficult task for a wedding to be both modern and classic - but we think Jordan and Graham’s Wedding hit the nail right on the head!
