Colorful Tropical Wedding at The Island in Fort Walton Beach

When one of your own gets married, you pull out all the stops! Meghan has worked beside me for four years. She is family, I say one of my daughters. I had seen her Pinterest board for wedding flowers before she was engaged. Her vision had gone from her favorite flowers, sunflowers and chamomile, to tropical and vibrant colors for the venue of her dreams. This is the place where they felt at home, in Destin on the beach.

The hardest thing about working with a florist on their own wedding is narrowing down the favorite flowers to use. There were 15 different varieties of flowers and greenery in her bouquet, all were special and help complete the look of the perfect bouquet for our perfect lady! Favorites that were used were, protea, daffodil, sweet peas, poppies, tulips, monstera, and coral charm (this was a MUST)! I was honored to be able to make the bouquet that she would carry down the aisle.

The second most important thing about her decor was the ability to bring a feeling of the Church to their outdoor wedding. When deciding on the focal structure they would stand in front of, we needed to incorporate a cross. This was handmade by our warehouse manager, everyone calls him Dad. This structure was built with a center arch and two seperate bridges of floral that were to be backdrop for reception of their sweetheart table and two head family tables.

Most of her vendors were Orlando based. She knows so many wonderful vendors that were excited to make the trip for her day to be perfect. The planner, Lora Wardman Events pulled out all the stops. It was a full weekend of festivities!

When Meghan walked down the aisle, there were tears in all of our eyes. Our core staff was there to celebrate their love for one another. It is my favorite wedding, for my right hand. Congratulations Meghan and Bailey!
