Formosa Winery-Rustic Winery Wedding with Gold Geometric Twist
This year in February, we got to provide floral and decor for some of my friends from our hometown, John Savas and Amanda Hearsey. It was beautiful and romantic and we loved getting to be a small part of this day. Recently, a few months after their wedding, I asked Amanda to share her love story with John. It’s safe to say I teared up a little.
“We [John and Amanda] always lived in the same neighborhood growing up but never knew of each other but always hung out around the same groups of people. He started coming into our restaurant and he was always a goofball-always down for a good time and making me laugh! It took me a while to realize I liked him, partly because I had kids and I wasn’t sure how he would do that or how he would feel being with a girl with two kids. The more he came in to the restaurant, the more we talked. He talked a friend of mine and I into throwing a super bowl party. If you ask his friends, that’s when they knew John was in for life-he left a friends party to come to ours and we haven’t looked back since! The kids and I fell in love with John very quickly because of his sense of humor, caring spirit, and compassion, it was too hard to pass up. I was a single mom of two, so it was hard for me to give him my all but he promised he would have never came over that day if he was not willing to care and support us until the end of time! Shortly after that, we said ‘I love you’ for the first time; we had never been so sure of ourselves and our relationship and we began to build a life together! He proposed to me on the top of a mountain in Colorado, I dropped to my knees, in complete shock, and said YES! It was a complete surprise and such a happy moment for the both of us!”
Bluegrass Chic was honored to be part of such a beautiful love story for their wedding day. Amanda came to us with a vision for her day- that was texture, and lots of it! I think it came together beautifully. We achieved this look with 3 different sized vessels on the tables with different flowers and our clear taper candle holders and hurricanes. To say this wedding partied all night, would be an understatement. I got to see all the family and friends out on the dance floor and it was such a fun and happy environment. Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Savas! Can’t wait to celebrate you for years to come!
