Walk This Way: aisle floral and how to use it!

When planning the floral for your wedding ceremony, it's easy to fall in love with a lush aisle lined with flowers. However, many clients hesitate to add aisle floral, thinking it is potentially a waste. But have no fear - these designs don’t have to be a one-moment wonder—they can enhance your reception, too!

There are so many options when it comes to adding something special to your aisle! From elevated arrangements framing the aisle’s start, to lush pieces lining the length of the aisle, aisle florals are a stunning investment with tons of repurposing potential. Let's explore some different inspiring ways to decorate your aisle, and how to transition these beautiful blooms from ceremony to celebration, ensuring your floral design leaves a lasting impression throughout your big day!

Start of Aisle

  1. Elevated Arrangements: large, lush arrangement elevated on columns to wow your guests entering the ceremony space!

  1. Ground Gardens: wide, organic pieces on the ground to welcome your guests down the aisle!

  2. Collections: think of a mixture of pots + baskets + vases + columns - for a relaxed feel and to set the tone of the day!

Aisle Markers

  1. Ground Gardens: big or small, these pieces look like they are growing right up from the aisle itself!

  2. Chair Ties: classic and simple, these are a light touch of floral to add just a little something special!

  3. Centerpieces: depending on the weather and time of year, centerpieces may be used to line the aisle!

Where to Repurpose

  1. Guest Tables: Elevated Arrangements from the Start of the Aisle can become Tall Elevated Centerpieces, and low Centerpieces can go from the aisle to guest tables perfectly! But this spot is very dependent on the weather, time of year, and location. For example, if it is an outdoor ceremony in the summertime in Florida, items cannot be repurposed from ceremony to reception and still look in pristine condition. So check with your floral designer on what is possible for your wedding date and designs!

  2. Sweetheart Table: Elevated Arrangements from the Start of the Aisle can frame the couple on either side, Ground Gardens can line the ground in front of the table, and Collections can be used to decorate all sides of the table! So many amazing options for repurposing your aisle floral to your sweetheart table!

  3. Stage: Having a band? Lining the front of the stage with Ground Gardens from your aisle is perfection! Such a great way to have a “WOW” moment at ceremony and then have it also translate to reception!

  4. Cake Table: Ground Gardens from the ceremony are the perfect pieces to have line the front of your cake table, creating a “meadow” of flowers beneath for a dreamy look!

As you can see, there are so many ways to dress up your aisle with floral; and even more ways to repurpose them to your reception! We love helping our clients’ talk through their vision and helping them prioritize the areas where we can repurpose to!
